PURPOSE: To improve the strength against pressure and shock, by bulging inwards some linear parts inside a box toe. The height of the bulge, smaller than the thickness of adhesive tape against falling, does not require any substan tial change of the thickness and the shape of a shoe. CONSTITUTION: The body of a box toe has a curved arch 21 for protecting the toe of a wearer and and a curved part 22, curving inwards under the part 21 and buried between the insole and the outsole. The arch 21 has a ceiling 21a, both side walls 21b and 21c, and a rear end face 21d. The arch 21 has in its inside several linear parts 23 bulging inwards along the width. Their heights are various but all lower than the adhesive tape against falling 17. By those means the parts 23 strengthen the box toe 11 against pressure and shock without changing substantially its thickness and shape. |
