PURPOSE: To make it possible to make shut-off operation smoothly, to simplify the operation of an upper movement mechanism and to make neat a swing door opening and closing device for a vehicle by connecting a rotational driving shaft to a coupling rotational shaft under the pivot of the vehicle, mounting a roller on the front end of an arm section, fixing a cam member, and making a cam recess in a cam projecting piece to come into contact with the roller. CONSTITUTION: A rotational driving shaft is rotated in the shut-off direction with a driving source 26, a roller 14 of an arm section 12 of a coupling rotational shaft 9 is rolled from the relation between the dead-weight of a swing door 3 and the resultant force of elastic force in a spring 17, and the vehicle pivot 15 is moved upward. A bearing pin of the swing door 3 is inserted in a slot groove 29a of a hook member 29 on a vehicle 2 side so that the swing door 3 is not opened. After that, the rotational driving shaft is rotated in the opening direction with the driving source 26, the roller 14 of the arm section 12 is rolled, and the vehicle pivot 15 is moved downward through the cam member 19. The bearing pin of the swing door 3 is separated from the slot groove 29a of the hook member 29. Then, the cam member 19 is rotated in the opening direction with the roller 14 by rotational operation of the driving source 26, and turning effort is transferred to the vehicle pivot 15 to open the swing door 3. |
