<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for treating a waste plastics by which chlorine is nearly completely removed from the waste plastics and the dechlorinated waste plastics is further decomposed and recovered as useful products. CONSTITUTION: This method for treating a waste plastics comprises the first step for mixing the waste plastics with one or more oils selected from a petroleum-based oil and a coal-based oil and swelling the waste plastics, the second step for heating the resultant mixture at 150-350 deg.C and removing chlorine in the waste plastics, the third step for mixing the mixture after dechlorination with a medium oil and/or a heavy oil to be recovered in the fourth step and then heating the prepared mixture at 400-485 deg.C under 30-80kg/m<2> pressure and the fourth step for recovering gases and a light oil from the heated mixture, providing a mixture containing the medium oil, heavy oil and solids and circulating the mixture or all or a part of the medium oil and heavy oil separated therefrom through the mixing in the third step.</p> |
