PURPOSE: To simplify the assembling of a light source part of an optical scanner. CONSTITUTION: A rotary polygon mirror not shown in figure is irradiated with a laser beam L1 generated from a semiconductor laser 1 through a collimate lens 3. The semiconductor laser 1 is individually and directly attached to an attaching hole 21a of a side wall 21 of an optical box 2, and the collimate lens 3 is held by a barrel 4 and attached to the projection part 21b of the optical box 2. The attaching work is simplified, and optical axis adjustment for the rotary polygon mirror is made more accurate compared with the case when the semiconductor laser 1 and the collimate lens 3 are unitized and attached to the optical box 2. |
