The numeric numbers and the characters are displayed on a display and are selected by a key input unit so that a key input unit become simplified. The key input unit includes a X and Y axis displacement detector(20,30) for generating displacement signals of X and Y axis by detecting the variation of magnetic field strength, a controller(50) for generating display data according to output signal of the X and Y axis displacement detector and for processing key selection signal sent from a remote controller, a memory(60) for storing an operating program, a display(70) for displaying numeric numbers and characters according to control signal transmitted from the controller(50), and a wireless transmission port(80) for sending data.
