Deodorisation of air by electrolysis of liq. at electrodes in contact with liq. and air

In the purificn. of air using electrodes by exchange between a liquid and a gas, the liq. is electrolysed to form reactants which then react with the gas. The electrodes are in contact with the liquid and the gas. Also claimed is appts. for carrying out a process as above in which electrolysis produces a gaseous species. The appts. comprises two reactors and the gaseous species produced in the first reactor is entrained into a second reactor in which the liq. is at a different pH from that in the first reactor.
