<p>PURPOSE: To reproduce a predetermined sync block through one tracing of a rotary magnetic head, by subjecting a tape-running system to a phase servo with using a difference of the number of the predetermined sync block and the number of a target sync block as a phase error when the tape is reproduced at variable speeds. CONSTITUTION: An error signal generator 124 of a phase error signal-generating part 120 compares the number of a reference sync block from a controller with the number of a final sync block obtained at a final sync block detector 122, and outputs a difference as a phase signal error. At a reproducing time at a different speed, the error signal is fed back to a phase servo circuit 103 via a switch 108. As a result, a phase servo is exerted so that a rotary head traces a sync block on a target block of a magnetic tape. Data of one picture are overlapped when recorded with an extra area of one track being used as a trick play area. Accordingly, when data are reproduced at variable speeds, data can be updated per one image as low band factor data of one picture.</p> |
