PURPOSE: To improve the availability of an image memory by fetching only the desired area of an image picked up by an image pickup device into the image memory. CONSTITUTION: A vertical counter 7 finds the horizontal line of the image where video signals outputted from TV cameras 1a and 1b are positioned. A memory 5 stores the range of horizontal lines to be stored in an image memory 2 as selection areas. When the count value of the vertical counter 7 is settled within the range of the selection areas stored in the memory 5, at a CPU 4, one line in the horizontal direction of the image is written in one line of the address designated by a vertical address counter 8. |
