摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange connection between node switch sets to connect to a large-scale scalable processor array such as a butterfly type within a row and a column between node switches like a 2D mesh array. SOLUTION: This system is attained by using an additional switch set 34 called a pivot switch. The pivot switch 34 is added to a processor and a processor switch set to form a processor cluster. Each of the cluster is assigned with the positions of a logical row and column in an array. Each pivot switch set is connected to all the node switch sets assigned with the same column position as the pivot switch and all the node switch sets assigned with the same row position. As a result, both of the two switch sets are connected by pivot switches positioned at (a) the intersection of the row of a first node set and the column of a second node set or (b) the intersection of the column of a first node set and the row of a second node set.
