PURPOSE: To improve the reproducibility of a character and a graphic and to enhance the quality of an entire image by giving priority to a black(K) toner image developing system. CONSTITUTION: Among respective yellow(Y), magenta(M), cyan(C) and black(K) image forming units 14Y, 14M, 14C and 14K used for forming a color image, the black(K) image forming unit 14K is arranged on the uppermost-stream position of a circulating and carrying photoreceptor belt 10, then, the black(K) toner image can be developed by contact developing, and respective yellow(Y), magenta(M) and cyan(C) toner images are superposed one on another by non- contact developing after very finely reproducing the character and the graphic, so that a color image having high character quality can be formed. |
