PURPOSE: To manufacture a solid electrolyte electrochemical cell with high material yield and high productivity by producing a supporting tube comprising a base tube and an interconnector tube in a sintering process and forming films of a fuel electrode material, a solid electrolyte material, and an air electrode material on the outer surface of the supporting tube in a slurry sintering process. CONSTITUTION: Non-sintered or preliminary sintered about 1mm thick interconnector rings of 10 to 15 pieces (made of La perovskite oxide) 2 are arranged in the axial direction at intervals of about 20mm on the outer surface of a preliminary sintered or sintered 2 to 3mm thick base tube (made of Ca- stabilised ZrO3 and the like) 1, and they are sintered at 1500 to 1700 deg.C for abut 2 hours for connecting them to form a supporting tube. The outer surface of the supporting tube is coated with a slurry-state fuel electrode material (NiO/YSZ composite material and the like) 3, a slurry-state solid electrolyte material (YSZ and the like) 4, and a slurry-state air electrode material (La perovskite oxide and the like) 5 and they are sintered at 1300 to 1500 deg.C for about 2 hours. A solid electrolyte electrochemical cell with reduced production cost can be obtained. |
