PURPOSE: To facilitate the maintenance of a phosphoric acid type fuel cell and prevent the corrosion deterioration of a gas manifold body in the cell. CONSTITUTION: A gas manifold body 10 in a phosphoric acid type fuel cell is composed of a maintenance section 11 serving as a back side plate, being in the shape of a boxing body of vertically longitudinal direction and having an opening in contact with the side face of a laminated body 1 so that the maintenance section 11 is partly attachable freely to and detachable from a flange 12, the cross-sectionally U-shaped flange 12 for freely attaching and detaching the lower part of the maintenance section 11 via a clamping member or a bolt 13 and unillustrated two side-plates fixed in one to the flange 12 by welding or the like, and it has such structure that the maintenance section 11 can be attached at its lower end part 11a to the flange 12 at its one-end part 12a via the clamping bolt 13. The gas manifold body 10 has its inside face coated with a corrosion resisting film 14, particularly with out of the film 14, the corrosion resisting film part 14a on the part of the flange 12 formed in increased thickness. The flange 12 has the other end part 12b closely attached to the respective side faces of the laminated body 1. |
