PURPOSE: To improve the operability of a musical tone generator for which program processing is adopted at the time of starting its system and at the time of forming musical tone control data. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 51 transfers an application program to a RAM 53 from a hard disk 61 by execution of the starting program in a ROM 52, starts this program and sets a system environment by one set of the system setting data to be assigned by assignment data among plural sets of the system setting data within the RAM 53 in the initial period of the program. The system setting data and the assignment data are changed at the time of executing the application program. The CPU 51 successively and automatically executes respective progressings including the sampling processing, trimming processing and mapping processing of the same program stored in the RAM 53 at the time of forming the musical data control data by execution of the application program. The presence or absence of the execution of the respective processings is selectively executed by the data in the RAM 53. |
