PURPOSE: To provide an electronic musical instrument which can give musically meaningful scratch effect by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION: This musical instrument consists of a multiplier 101 which multiplies corrected data generated by correcting pitch bend data from a pitch bend operation element through a conversion table and frequency data generated according to the key code of a pressed key by each other, an adder 103 which adds the multiplication result to an output value from a current value register 102 storing the current readout position of waveform data, and a comparing circuit 104 which compares the addition result with a loop-end pointer LEP and varies the value to be set in the current value register 102 , and to the current value register 102 , the start point SP and scratch point SCP of the waveform data are supplied. When a read of the waveform data is changed from the forward direction to the reverse direction with the pitch bend operation element, the scratch point SCP is set in the current value register 102 and the waveform data begins to be read from the position, thereby giving the scratch effect. |
