PURPOSE: To provide an electronic instrument capable of loading musical information onto an internal memory when power source is applied without performing complex operation. CONSTITUTION: When power source is applied, the performance data specified by the set up data stored in a RAM2 4 backed up by a backup power source 5 are read out from an external disk 7 by a disk drive(DD) 6 under the control of a CPU 1, and are loaded onto the RAM1 3 automatically. Further, when an automatic performance mode is specified by the set up data, a musical sound generation part (TG) 10 generates a musical sound signal based on the performance data loaded onto the RAM1 3, and a reproduced musical sound is given from a sound system 11. |
