PURPOSE: To detect the occurrence of abnormal saturation and to prevent it from occurring at the time of failure such as oversaturation, that means, when overflowing electric charge is mixed in the output of a light shielding picture element and AGC is normally diverged in a charge storage type sensor. CONSTITUTION: The automatic focusing camera using the photoelectric transducer is constituted of a body 1 and a photographing lens 2. The lens 2 is provided with a photographing optical system 3. The body 1 is constituted of a main mirror 11, a sub-mirror 5, a finder 6, a focus detection optical system 7, an image sensor 8, a one-chip microcomputer 9, a motor 10, a scheduled focal plane 11, a photometry element 12, a luminance detection means 13 and a temperature detection means 14. When a photographing action is executed by using this camera system, such a state that a focus cannot be detected because the abnormal saturation occurs is eliminated even when luminance is suddenly changed at the changing time of a composition. |
