发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid crystal display device with which light interference fringes by incident light are not visually recognized by specifying the film thickness of at least either of two electrodes consisting of transparent electrodes. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal display device has a first substrate which has display electrodes 26 consisting of transparent conductive films formed on an insulating substrate, a second substrate which is formed with counter electrodes likewise consisting of the transparent conductive films and a liquid crystal compsn. which is held between the display electrodes 26 of the first substrate and the counter electrodes of the second substrate disposed to face each other apart a prescribed spacing. At least either the display electrodes 26 or the counter electrodes are formed to have a film thickness of 150±20nm. ITO films are generally used as the transparent conductive films. The resistance value increases and the basic functions as the conductive films are lost if the film thickness thereof is too small. The transmittance of light decreases if the film thickness is too large. By controlling the film thickness of at least either thereof to 150±20nm, the light interference fringes generated dependently upon the film thicknesses of the transparent conductive films are decreased down to a level negligible for practicable use.
