<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the scattering of a toner and to maintain satisfactory image quality over a long period of time by incorporating toner particles contg. a specified fixing resin, a specified amt. of magnetic powder and a metallic stearate and a specified carrier. CONSTITUTION: This two-component developer contains toner particles and a carrier. The toner particles contain a fixing resin made of a compsn. contg. a resin having anionic polar groups, magnetic powder dispersed in the fixing resin and a metallic stearate. The magnetic powder and the metallic stearate are contained in the toner particles by 0.1-5 pts.wt. and 0.01-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the fixing resin, respectively. The particles of the carrier contain a thermoplastic resin and high resistance magnetic powder dispersed in the resin and have 50-150μm vol. base average particle diameter. The thermoplastic resin is made of a resin compsn. contg. a resin having cationic polar groups and the high resistance magnetic powder has >=1×10<5>Ω.cm resistivity and is contained by 60-90wt.% in the particles of the carrier.</p> |
