PURPOSE: To obtain a light diffusing film capable of sufficiently withstanding practical use and very high in luminance by using essentially of beads having a specific particle diameter and many fine rugged parts on the surface in the light diffusing film made by forming a resin layer, in which the beads are dispersed, on the surface of a plastic film. CONSTITUTION: In the light diffusing film made by forming the resin layer, in which the beads are dispersed, on the surface of the plastic film, the beads having >=30μm particle diameter and many fine rugged parts on the surface is essentially used. As the bead, a plastic beads or a glass beads may be used. All of beads may have >=30μm particle diameter and many fine rugged parts on the surface and the beads including partly the beads having smaller particle diameter than 30μm and smooth surface may also be used unless the high brightness is not deteriorated. An adequate quantity of a dispersing agent can be properly incorporated in the resin layer, in which the beads are dispersed.
