The tipping seat back (4) of the rear seat of a vehicle supports the front edge of the rear parcel shelf (1), where the rear edge of the shelf is supported at the rear (2) of the vehicle. The seat back can tip towards the front of the vehicle around a transverse axis (5) situated at the lower edge of the seat back. The seat back and the parcel shelf are divided into two halves, and locking for the seat backs is provided by two bolts (7) which secure the seat back to the side of the vehicle body. Each bolt consists of a moving part (8), carried by the seat back and linked by a control system (12) to the operating handle (13), which is fitted on the rear parcel shelf, close to its rear edge. |
