PURPOSE: To reduce the height of discharge space, that is, the height of a partition dividing and forming the discharge space so as to easily form the partition, to reduce the variation of the discharge space and to improve numerical aperture, whereby securing excellent mass-productivity and stable light emitting display operation. CONSTITUTION: The discharge space 4 constituting respective picture elements is formed by the partition 3 formed across an interval between 1st and 2nd glass panels 1 and 2, at least either of which has light transmissivity and which are opposed to each other, and paired 1st and 2nd discharge electrodes 5 and 6 are formed in the discharge space 4 to form this picture display device. The 1st and the 2nd discharge electrodes 5 and 6 are constituted as a comb-line electrode formed by alternately arranging plural comb teeth electrode elements 5t and 6t on the inner surface of either of the panels 1 and 2. |
