PURPOSE: To provide a locus correction method which makes it possible to apply a tool correction to a free curve of a servo system that applies an electronic cam consisting of a controller of a periodical scan execution type. CONSTITUTION: In the locus correction method controlling a tool along a free curve by using a servo in which X and Y axis position commands are generated corresponding to the transition of a phase commandθand for every scan of a controller 10 of a periodical scan execution type, and the follow-up control is applied to the positions based on those generated position commands, a position Qn (xn ', yn ') which is distant byΔ1 in the normal direction of a segment Pn-1 Pn is calculated for each scan based on a position command Pn-1 (xn-1 , yn-1 ) of the precedent scan and a position command Pn (xn , yn ) of the present scan, and the position Qn (xn ', yn ') is defined as a position command of a corrected locus.
