VISUAL MIRROR WITH INTENSIFIED IMAGE

PURPOSE: To provide a visualizer which forms high-quality color images by faintly illuminating an object at a low level. CONSTITUTION: A light source 14 illuminates an object 20 with a time-controlled patterned array of light rays having different wavelengths. Light rays reflected from the object 20 is transmitted to an image multiplier tube 41 and a video camera 42 which generates video signals through a visualizer 10. A video processor 25 synchronized to the light source 41 converts the video signals into different image frames corresponding to the light rays reflected with different wavelengths. An image storage device in the processor 25 preserves each frame for converting the frames into color video signals which form the color display of the object 20 to be observed on a monitor 26.
