PURPOSE: To improve transmission quality by weighting reception signals based on the compared result of reliability degree information for quantitatively indicating the transmission quality of respective diversity branches and synthesizing them. CONSTITUTION: For the reception signals, envelope levels are detected (102 and 103) and transmitted to a level comparator 201 and signals for indicating the size of the level are supplied to a time average circuit 202. As the output of a reliability degree information extraction device 200, the circuit 202 sends the average number of times of the branch provided with an antenna 100 and the average number of times of the branch of the antenna 101 to a weighting signal generator 300 at each cycle T as the reliability degree information. The gain of variable gain amplifiers 108 and 109 is controlled by the weighting signals from the generator 300. Then, the amplifiers 108 and 109 weight the reception signals from phase shifters 106 and 107 and an adder 110 synthesizes the weighted reception signals and sends them to a detector 400. |
