PURPOSE: To steadily control electrification potential at all times despite changes in the temperature and humidity of a using environment. CONSTITUTION: The image-forming device using a contact type electrifying member (electrifying roller 102) is equipped withe a power source 103 which applies voltage to the electrifying roller 102 2 a surface potential detector 104 which detects the electrification potential of the surface of a photoreceptor 101 electrified by means of the electrifying roller 102, and a CPU 105 which, when an image is not formed, controls the power source 103, electrifies the photoreceptor 101 by the application of a preset constant voltage to the electrifying roller 102, and controls the application voltage of the power source 103 based on the output value of the surface potential detector 104 when an image is formed. |
