PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device always obtaining the image of excellent gradation. CONSTITUTION: As for the image forming device performing control where plural test patch images having different density are formed by respectively developing plural test patch latent images formed by exposure by pulse width modulation signals at constant intervals on an image carrier 110 by a developing device 130, and the density of the test patch image is detected by an image density sensor DS2 , and a gradation correction curve is formed based on the series of density data detected; the density interval of the pulse width modulation signal in a specified area is made to be narrower than the density interval of the pulse width modulation signal in a middle area. |
