PURPOSE: To improve the convenience of use by a user by controlling connection relation between plural AV devices in terms of the hardware through the control of icons. CONSTITUTION: This AV remote controller 6000 uses an operation panel 6010 in which a touch panel switch and a liquid crystal display device are overlapped as a user interface. Icons corresponding to each AV equipment, that is, an icon 6210 corresponding to a television receiver, an icon 6220 corresponding to a VTR 1, an icon 6230 corresponding to a VTR 2, and an icon 6240 corresponding to a VDP are displayed on a liquid crystal display screen. On the liquid crystal display menu displayed in this way, for example, the icon 6220 corresponding to the VTR 1 is touched by a finger and the finger is shifted laterally to be overlapped on the icon 6210 corresponding to the television receiver. The contact by finger and the moving operation of a contact point are converted into an electric signal by a touch panel section and processed by a CPU. |
