PURPOSE: To newly separate a multiple kinds of components by varying selectivity of separations. CONSTITUTION: In the capillary electrophoresis device wherein an entrance side liquid tank 12 and an exit side liquid tank 15 are connected with a capillary 13 and a high voltage 18 is applied to both of the tanks so that components of a specimen are separated, a magnetic field-applying means 14 that applies a magnetic field to the capillary 13 in the vertical direction is provided. Each of charged particles (ion and micell) is pressed against inner wall of the capillary by a force different corresponding to the quantity of electric charge, the velocity or the like according to the Fleming's left-hand rule so that the movability is lowered. Separability is changed by only switching between applying and non-applying of the magnetic field or changing intensity of the magnetic field. |
