PURPOSE: To automatically load musical information stored in an external storage medium in an internal memory of an electronic instrument without performing complex operation. CONSTITUTION: When the fact that an external disk 7 is loaded on the electronic instrument is detected, and automatic loading is specified by an automatic load flag stored in the RAM2 4, the automatic load data(ALD) are read out from the external disk 7 by a disk drive(DD) 6 under the control of a CPU 1, and a file specified by the ALD is read out from the external disk 7 and loaded on the RAM1 3 automatically. Further, when an automatic performance mode is specified by the ALD, the musical sound generation part (TG) 10 generates a musical sound signal based on the performance data loaded on the RAM1 3, and a reproduced musical sound is given from a sound system 11. |
