The camera (esp. single-lens reflex camera) features a film cassette (1) with a horizontal picture gate (10) for landscape exposures and a vertical gate for portraits, selected by 90 deg. rotation of the cassette w.r.t. the camera body. The cassette housing contains a film drive motor (16) with guide rails and platen, and a slider (11) which closes the gate before the cassette is withdrawn. The interface (5) between cassette and camera has rotational symmetry w.r.t. two locking forks (6) and bolts and w.r.t. the electrical contacts (8) and leaf spring contacts within the opening. |
