The apparatus includes a base (1) on which a plate (2) is mounted. The plate carries an audio replay unit (3) which allows the user to listen to a detailed description of the displayed object. There is also a relief (4) representation of the object with a sliding drawer (5) underneath containing a sample of the original work. The visitor can easily touch and feel the exposed sample. The base can be approximately 1 m high, with the supported base plate having dimensions of 50 cm by 35 cm.
