The support is symmetrical about a longitudinal median plane (3), and includes a central apex (4) on the axis of symmetry and positioned to correspond to the third lumbar vertebra. Two lateral support surfaces correspond to the iliac crests at the upper front portion of the user's pelvis. A cut-out portion (7) on the axis of symmetry of the support corresponds to the user's pubic region, and is located between the lateral support surfaces. The lateral support surfaces have edge projections (6) providing lateral stability for a user's body when located on top of the support.
