OPERATION EVALUATING METHOD AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE

PURPOSE: To provide the maintenance support device which creates an inspection indication script for proper preventive maintenance inspection by securely detecting the syndrome of a fault of the automatic teller machine(ATM). CONSTITUTION: Lagging data, e.g. fault occurrence data are obtained from individual ATMs 3a-3n through a communication line, made quantitative with a specific weight coefficient, and stored in a data file 40a. An operation evaluation process part 13 calculates the cumulative points (value) of the individual ATMs, compares them with an evaluation reference value (threshold value), and decides that the ATM is a defective operating equipment when the former is larger than the latter or a good operating equipment when not. A data editing part 14 edits the inspection indication script including proper inspection items and an inspection period according to the decision result and outputs it to an output device 30.
