PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized vibration gyro with good sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: This vibration gyro has a flexibly vibrating oscillator 12. The oscillator 12 comprises, for example, an equilateral triangle pole-like oscillator 14, and piezoelectric elements 16a, 16b, 16c (not shown in the figure) are fixed to the centers of three side surfaces of the oscillator 14. Vibration absorbing plates 22a, 22b are fixed as support members to both longitudinal end parts of the oscillator 12, respectively. The vibration absorbing plates 22a, 22b have the node part of flexible vibration of the oscillator 12 when both the longitudinal end parts of the oscillator 12 are supported in the part substantially rotated around the center between the outside and inside of the outer circumferential parts 28a, 28b. Annular fixed members 30a, 30b, for example, are connected to the node parts of the vibration absorbing plates 22a, 22b through connecting members 32a, 32b, respectively. The fixed members 30a, 30b are arranged around the oscillator 12 between the vibration absorbing plates 22a, 22b so as not to come into contact with the oscillator 12. |
