<p>PURPOSE: To ensure superior transfer efficiency and heat fixability and to stably form a copied image having the required density over a long time. CONSTITUTION: This two-component developer contains toner particles contg. a fixing resin and magnetic powder and a carrier. The fixing resin has anionic polar groups, the toner particles have a prescribed vol. base average particle diameter, spacer particles having a prescribed vol. base average particle diameter is stuck to the toner particles and a metallic stearate is stuck to the stuck surfaces. The particles of the carrier contain a thermoplastic resin and high resistance magnetic powder and the thermoplastic resin contains a resin having cationic polar groups. This developer does not contain any electrostatic charge controlling agent but the electrostatic chargeability of the toner is satisfactory, spending is not caused and no toner is scattered at the time of copying.</p> |
