<p>PURPOSE: To ensure superior transfer efficiency and heat fixability, to stably form a copied image having the required density over a long time and to improve anti-offsetting property, spending resistance, pulverizability at the time of producing a toner and the stability of a charged state at high humidity. CONSTITUTION: This two-component developer contains a toner and a carrier. The toner contains toner particles contg. a prescribed fixing resin and a prescribed amt. of magnetic powder. The particles of the carrier contain a thermoplastic resin and high resistance magnetic powder having a prescribed particle diameter. The thermoplastic resin contains a resin having cationic polar groups and the high resistance magnetic powder has prescribed resistivity. This developer does not contain any electrostatic charge controlling agent. Since the electrostatic chargeability of the toner and carrier of this developer is, however, satisfactory and the toner particles bond satisfactorily to the particles of the carrier, spending is not caused and no toner is scattered. The force required to mix and stir this developer is small, superior transferability with a magnetic brush is ensured and sliding friction to a photoreceptor is reduced. The particles of the magnetic carrier hardly cause aggregation or sticking to the surface of the photoreceptor.</p> |
