PURPOSE: To provide a solid electrolyte tube for a sodium-sulfur cell, having a small number of part items and being simple to be assembled. CONSTITUTION: A fixing flange portion 2 is monolithically formed on the periphery of a solid electrolyte tube body 1 at its open end. Ceramic layers 3 are flame-coatedly formed respectively on the periphery and end face of the flange portion 2 via their respective corresponding glass layers each formed by flame coating. Metal layers 5, 6 are flame-coatedly formed on the respective ceramic layers 3. Supporting metal fittings 7, 8 are connectively fixed to the respective corresponding metal layers 5, 6 by brazing them to the layers 5, 6 in atmosphere. |
