PURPOSE: To provide the automatic monitoring system for the position of a vehicle which enables a vehicle to reach the range of a desired movement area in a short time from a vehicle position and is limited to be in the inside of the area range. CONSTITUTION: This system includes at least one mobile station 1 and one master station 2, and the mobile station 1 includes a vehicle position detecting means 11 which detects the vehicle position through a GPS satellite and a vehicle sensor, an area setting means 12 which sets the desired movement area by a person on the vehicle, a mobile station transmitting means 13 which sends the vehicle position and desired movement area to the master station, a mobile station receiving means 14 which receives a decision result from the master station 2, and a mobile station display means 15 which displays the decision result; and the master station 2 includes a master station receiving means 21 which receives the vehicle position and desired movement area of the mobile station 1, a registering means 25 which previously registers the set allowed range of the desired movement area corresponding to the vehicle position, a decision means 22 which compares the set allowed range with the desired movement area to decide whether or not the set desired movement range is proper, and a master station transmitting means 23 which sends the decision result to the mobile station 1. |
