COLOR SEPARATION PRISM DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a small and lightweight color separation prism device which has high workability and prevents intrusion of dust or intrusion of a black ink when the device is painted black. CONSTITUTION: A mounting member 27 for lens barrel, fixed to a lens barrel 28 with screws 29 is fixed to the incident face 21a of a first prism 21 with an adhesive 31 in three contact areas 27c disposed around the outer peripheral of the effective ray area for the incident and total reflection area of effective rays 30a, 30b in the incident face 21a of the first prism 21. Further, an outer rib 27a lower than the contact face 27c byΔd is formed wholly around the effective ray area so that the color separation prism device is made small in size and light in weight and that intrusion of a black ink during the device is painted black or intrusion of dust can be prevented.
