<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the scattering of a toner, to stabilize transfer efficiency and to maintain satisfactory image quality by incorporating toner particles contg. a specified fixing resin, a specified amt. of magnetic powder and a releas ing agent and a specified carrier. CONSTITUTION: This two-component developer contains toner particles contg. a fixing resin, magnetic powder dispersed in the resin and a releasing agent and a carrier. The fixing resin is made of a resin compsn. consisting of a monomer having an anionic polar group or a polymer compsn. obtd. from the monomer and a copolymer compsn. contg. a monomer having >=12C alkyl group in the side chain. The magnetic powder is contained in the toner particles by 0.1-5 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the fixing resin. The particles of the carrier contain a thermoplastic resin made of a resin compsn. having cationic polar groups and high resistance magnetic powder dispersed by 60-90wt.% in the particles and have 50-150μm vol. base average particle diameter. The high resistance magnetic powder has >=1×10<5>Ω.cm resistivity.</p> |
