<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recorder/player in which the type of remote control identical to that of a remote controller can be set on the player side by setting the type of remote control on the remote controller side while simultaneously storing the type of remote control transmitted from the remote controller in the memory section of the player. CONSTITUTION: In order to control a magnetic recorder/player 10 by means of a remote controller 15, the type of remote control is set at the SW operating section 18 thereof. A control section 16 transmits a set type of remote control from a transmitting section 20 and the set type of remote control is received at the receiving section 13 of the recorder/player 10. A control section 11 determines the type of remote control on a received remote control code and the type of remote control is stored in a memory section 14 while matching to that on the recorder/player 10 side. When a KEY is depressed at the operating section 17 of the remote controller 15, the control section 16 determines the depressed KEY and transmits the type of remote control being set at the operating section 18 from the transmitting section 20. It is received at the receiving section 13 of the recorder/player 10 and when it matches that stored at the memory section 14, the received remote control code is validated at the control section 11.</p> |
