PURPOSE: To detect the breakage of the cutting blade of a tiebar cutting die more accurately, in its early stages and easily. CONSTITUTION: With light emitted toward a lead frame 1 from a light source 21, the frame 1 is imaged by an imaging device 22 and a remaining tiebar is detected from the difference between the forms of the frame 1. Thereby, the breakage of a cutting blade of a tiebar cutting die is automatically detected. Moreover, at the time of the detection of the breakage, a signal is outputted from a comparison inspection controller 24 and the operation of an outer lead forming device is made to stop. |
