PURPOSE: To prevent the unevenness of development by stabilizing the rotating speed of a developing sleeve. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with two motors as power sources for actuating a developing unit 33. The developing sleeve 33A 18 driven together with a photoreceptor drum 32 by the power of one of the motors under the conditions in which rotating speed can be switched. A supply member 303 for supplying developer to the developing sleeve 33A and stirring/carrying members 304 and 305 which stir replenishment developer and existing developer to mix them are driven by the power of the other motor so that each rotate at constant rotating speed at all times. Thus, the effect of load variation of the latter power source on the former power source is prevented. |
