PURPOSE: To surely prevent the developer leakage out of a developing roll end part with simple means i.e., by adopting a fiber planted sealing member provided with the plant fiber oriented so as to be inclined to the center part side of the developing roll. CONSTITUTION: The fiber plant sealing member 5 whose main part is composed of the plant fiber 50 consisting of the spun yarn of 'Teflon(R)', etc., and the fiber plant base material 51 disposed so as to come into contact with both the end part of the developer roll 3, and the fiber plant base material 51 is composed of base cloth 52 for directly supporting the plant fiber 50 and the holding member 53 holding therefor. Then, the plant fiber 50 is severally oriented so that the direction from its base toward the fiber tip is inclined to the center part side of the developing roll 3. Moreover, the fiber plant sealing member 5 is preferably planted with the fiber so that the oriented slant angle measured form advancing direction (rotary direction) of the developing roll 3 as a reference becomes within the range of 30 deg. to 135 deg.. Furthermore, the end part range of the developing roll 3 for disposing the fiber plant sealing 5 is preferably made out of the range affected by the magnet 31 fixed in the sleeve 30 of the developing roll 3. |
