The panel is made from at least two surface layers with spacers between and gaps between the spacers (104, 105) for metal reinforcing rods (107, 108). The surface layers are made from cellular plastic, e.g. of polypropylene in the form of corrugated cardboard, and the spacers are in the form of hollow cylinders which are fixed to the surface layers by their ends, either by welding or adhesive. The spacers can be made from a similar material to the surface layers, being cut out and bent into the required shape. The surface layer which receives the main water thrust can have reinforcing elements inserted between its corrugations. The hollow shuttering panel can also be used to contain cables and pipes before filling. |
