At least one dish (12) is transported in a lower part (2) of a thermally insulating plastic carrier, which is covered by an upper part (17) with lid (18) and seal (23). The replaceable seal consists of expanded cross-linked watertight ethylene-vinyl-acetate with closed cells on its surface. The seal is held in place on the inside (24) of the upper part by undercuts (28) in side walls of the lid. A clip arrangement holds the upper and lower parts together.
