Electric razor with pivoted cutter for long hair

An electric razor has a main body with a main shaving section for short hair at the front and a cutter unit (7) for longer hair that is in the form of a flap down strip (16). The strip is hinged (11) and connects with an internal actuator bar that is displaced when the switch panel (4) is moved. The panel couples with a profiled internal plate that has two pairs of on and off positions. One pair of positions relate to supplying the motor to operate the cutters of the main shaver. With the long hair cutter stage extended the other pair of switch positions come into operation to apply power to the blades.
