PURPOSE:To extremely simply and accurately perform an adjustment related to an image forming operation, by changing the moving extent of a movable section, such as lens, mirror, etc., or the paper feeding timing in accordance with stored data. CONSTITUTION:It is necessary to make a focal point adjustment to this image forming device at every set, because of the fluctuations of the focal length of its lens and the fitting location of its mirror. This adjustment is performed by changing the locations of a lens unit 54 and mirrors 58 and 59 (the 3rd optical unit 60) by controlling the rotational angles of a lens driving stepping motor 123 and mirror driving stepping motor 105. Moreover, it frequency occurs that the leading edges of an image on a photosensitive drum 12 and printing paper P do not coincide with each other because of the fluctuation of the fitted conditions of various parts. Therefore, it is necessary to change the starting timing of a resist roller 24 to make the leading edges coincident with each other. These adjustments are performed by changing the rotary angle of each motor and starting timing of the roller 24 in accordance with data stored in a memory by means of a microcomputer. |
