A heat exchange chamber comprising a container jacket (1), lid (13), and bottom (12) contains tube coils in several interconnected regions. At the heat exchanger outlet is located a single-sided lock (11). The heat exchange chamber has several, vertically arranged part-chambers. The top part-chamber has an outlet aperture (9) in its lower section, while the lower part chamber has an inlet aperture (2) in its top section for the heat transfer medium. Between the two apertures is located the single-sided lock.
