<p>The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and concerns a device enabling a motor-impaired person to gain safe access to water on his own. The device comprises a seat (1) provided with a light adherent coating mounted on a bent tubular member (4) permanently secured to a control member (5) which is movable in a horizontal plane and is fastened to a partition located in a direction perpendicular to a shower basin (6) or a hand basin.
